Best Low Calorie Cocktails for Maintenance and the Rest of Your Life
You've reached maintenance, don't want to gain the weight back, but still want to be able to enjoy a few libations? Here are some low calorie cocktails to keep you on track for weight loss.
Slim 'n Sexy V
½ oz. lime juice
1 ½ oz. Remy Martin V
1 oz. pomegranate juice
lime wedge (for garnish)
Combine all ingredients in a tall glass of ice and stir. Place lime wedge on as a garnish.
Petite in Pink
1/2 oz. lemon juice
splash of cranberry juice
2 oz. sugar free lemonade
4 oz. VOGA sparkling wine
Put all ingredients in a glass of ice, stir, and garnish with mint leaves.
Ketel One Lemondrop
1 1/2 oz. Ketel One Citroen Flavored Vodka
1/4 oz. lemon juice
2 oz. sugar free lemonade
1 packet of sugar substitute
Using an ice-filled shaker, put in all ingredients and shake well. Then strain into a well chilled martini glass with the sugar substitute around the rim of the glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.
Mint Julep
1 1/3 oz. of Bulleit Bourbon
1 packet of sugar substitute
17 1/2 mint leaves
1/2 oz. water
Mix together the water, sugar substitute, and mint in a whiskey or julep glass. Then, add ice to fill the glass. Pour over the bourbon and garish with a mint sprig.
Peach Fresca Margarita
1/4 oz. lemons
3 oz. sugar free lemonade
1 oz. Don Julio Reposado Tequila
1/2 oz. peach schnapps
3 slices of mint
In shaker filled with ice, combine all items. Shake well and then strain into an ice-filled martini glass or a cocktail glass. Garnish with mint sprig or lime wheel.
Skimpy Hurricane
1 oz. orange juice
1 oz. light rum
1 oz. dark rum
1/2 oz. pomegranate juice
1 oz. pineapple juice
1/2 oz. lemon juice
1 oz. stevia or truvia "simple syrup"
To make the simple syrup:
Add 3 1/2 tablespoons or the natural sweetener with 1/2 c. warm water. Blend until the sweetener is dissolved.
To make the drink:
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and combine all ingredients. Shake it up and strain into an ice-filled glass. Garnish with an orange wheel.
