Ground Beef and Cabbage Skillet Meal

Ingredients

  • 100 g 93% fat free ground beef
  • 1/8 tsp minced ginger
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 3 drops clear stevia
  • 1/4 large head green cabbage sliced
  • 1 tbsp Bragg Liquids Aminos*
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Place a large skillet over medium heat.

  2. Once hot, add the ground beef and minced ginger. Brown the beef, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks, about 5 minutes.

  3. Add all the spices to the skillet and stir to combine

  4. Cook an additional minute.

  5. Add the cabbage to the pan and gently toss to combine.

  6. Cover the pan with a lid and let cook over low-medium heat for about 5-7minutes until the cabbage has wilted and softened a little bit but still has texture.

  7. Make sure to stir every 1-2 minutes so the cabbage doesn’t burn.

  8. Stir the stevia into the liquid aminos and then add it to the pan.

  9. Toss to combine and cook for another 1-2 minutes.

  10. Pour the apple cider vinegar into the pan, turn off the heat.

  11. Stir to combine one more time.

  12. Serve on a plate or in a bowl.

Recipe Notes

*We have found that Bragg Liquid Aminos seem to be okay to use while on Phase 2 (the VLCD phase) of the HCG Diet. Calories, carbs, and sugar are all zero.  When using Bragg Liquid Aminos, write it down in your daily weight/diet food log you’re using to track your progress.  If it has a negative effect on your weight loss, discontinue use.
